CloudUp is an app that lets you share screenshots quickly. After a short setup onto your desktop, CloudUp does its magic by screen grabbing, uploading, then making a URL all in one move, specifically by pressing PrtSc on your keyboard. PrtSc will respond if you have the CloudUp desktop app open. When you hit PrtSc while the desktop app is active, you’ll see that the web app of CloudUp opens in order for you to see how your screenshot will appear to the recipient.
If you have existing files, you can press the + sign on the CloudUp webapp, then drag and drop your desired file directly into the browser. It shows you clearly where to drop. A URL is also created. The goal of the team at CloudUp is for the app to eliminate steps, whether those steps are mouseclicks, Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V, etc. CloudUp offers different methods for sharing because they know not everybody has the same preferences. You can also upload other files besides image files such as .PDF files, podcasts, etc. CloudUp is used by the customer support staff at Automattic, the parent company of WordPress.
CloudUp is a desktop app that must be downloaded. The CloudUp desktop app works in conjunction with their web app of the same name. It can be used for free.
