Viscosity is a curious tool that let’s you create interesting shapes.

Like to play with colors, shapes, brushes and angles? Then Viscosity is a tool worth looking into. It’s totally free and web based and in no time you will be making abstract masterpieces.

Viscosity is a pixel-based animation editing software that lets you create, edit and publish web graphics and video. It is ideal for a wide variety of professionals such as web developers, graphics designers, artists, technical designers, game developers, video editors, or media specialists interested in a high-quality animation editing tool with built in web optimization features.

You start off with a set of colors that you can either pick out yourself, or pick a preselected theme. You have four types of brushes to choose from along with size, strength and slipperiness options. You have thousands of colors to choose from.

On the Select Tool, you can pick a square and change it by dragging it up, around and back and it will only distort the square or squares you choose.
