Dubbler is a voice recording app that lets users share their recordings with friends on Facebook, Tumblr, Google and Twitter. It features voice filters to enable users to add color to their files as a way to reveal their real personalities.

Considered as the Vine for voice, this tool allows up to 60 seconds of voice recording that can be enhanced through voice filters. It can record your voice, song or any audio for that matter.

Various types of voice filters are available as well. The Cat is the most popular which makes the voice sound like a cat. These include the Technotronic which adds some light techno music in the background and Romance which provides soft piano music in the background. The Cow filter is popular among males as it enhances their voice and make it sound like Barry White. The other filters manipulates the voice itself.

Initially launched for Android and iOS in May 2013, Dubbler was conceptualized as a tool for social media users to voice their comments such as on Facebook and Twitter. Founder Matthew Murphy who also founded Appsurdity is hopeful Dubbler will become widely used for the long term. He also sees its potential in the music industry adding that DJs are now using the app to record clips of their sets.

Here’s a short video about Dubbler. Enjoy!
