Geochirp is a map based Twitter tool that lets users locate tweets, and Twitter accounts within a specific geography. It is a most ideal hashtag marketing research tool if your business or event is regional. It helps users search for other Twitter users with similar interests regardless of their geographical location.
To use the tool, simply type in your preferred topic in the search box on top of the page where you see a Google map. You can also specify the area you want to look for people sharing the same interest as you on Twitter. Next, choose a radius below between 1 and 50 miles, adjust the number of tweets you want to see (from 5 to 25) and then enter a keyword.
You can also use quotations for exact phrases, as well as +term and -term for more precise searches. No registration is needed which means you can instantly use the tool right on its home page.
