Goo.gl is the URL shortening tool of Google. It is a very helpful and easy to use application that reduces the length of a URL and links it to the original one.
Users can also share the shortened link using any share app on a mobile device including Twitter and Facebook.
Another feature of this app is it generates a QR code from the shortened URL. A user can then share this code using his email, Facebook and other sharing apps.
Link your Google account to this tool and you can then keep track of other goo.gl links created earlier and check out the stats of those links.
To use the tool, simply put the URL on the box provided and click the blue Shorten URL button. This is most useful when sharing information and website links on Twitter which requires only 40 characters for every tweet.
