One of the first apps to feature Augmented Reality for search, Google goggles allowed the user to click pictures of logos, trademarks, landmarks, and barcodes or QR codes and generate information from the received data. It was pretty gimmicky, but it was a direction Google would barge ahead and in the future launch the mother of all augmented reality devices, the Google Glass.
