GroupTweet is a great collaboration tool as it allows several users to tweet from your Twitter account without having to use your password. It is most beneficial to organizations that have a corporate Twitter account.
Sometimes under unavoidable circumstances such as when a staff gets sick or goes out of town for official business, companies may need to let several people use one Twitter account for consistency. This is very important when establishing B2B relationships.
One of the best things about this tool it that it enables users to tweet from their regular Twitter platforms (Tweetdeck, Hootsuite, Twitter app etc), so there’s no need for training or installation.
Three options are available to be able to tweet from a single account. You can use a hashtag that is custom designed for your account (for example, a conference hashtag, which can be left in the tweets). You can also do @mentioning the group account or you can direct message the account. Either of the three will make you appear as the user of your company’s Twitter account.
GroupTweet offers a freemium entry level for those who want to try out the tool first. But if you’re concerned about security issues, you can go for the Premium plan which offers a pre-moderation setting via email.
