Hike is a great chat app for Android. As an instant messaging service, it works very similar to Whatsapp and Faceboook Messenger and has been the top chat application in India in July. Users can chat for free with friends who are also using the app.

Chatting using this app is absolutely free and secure because of its privacy feature. It also features chat themes, updated stickers, hidden chats and revamped user interface.

In addition, Hike also supports PDF files and Microsoft Office files, and allows users to hide an individual chat or group for extended privacy.

Launched in December 2012 in Delhi, India, this mobile messaging app now has more than 35 million users as of Augut 2014. It’s growing exponentially, with more than 60 percent of users based in India and the rest in the Middle East and Europe.

Hike is available on all mobile platforms and has already received two rounds of funding of $22 million.
