Qontext provides a Social Software Platform & Contextual Collaboration Tools for Enterprises. Allows organizations to capture the tacit information often exchanged among employees and thereby improving productivity. The collaboration tools include tools to initiate discussions, share documents, micro-blogging tools, and more. Qontext is unique in bringing integrations into other enterprise business applications (CRM, ERP, SCM, etc.) thereby enabling social interactions from within these apps.
Most work-related conversations are triggered inside CRM, ERP, SCM, HRM, Intranets and so on – common business applications that we use every day at work. These apps provide the context for important conversations. Now Qontext unlocks such work-related conversations and spurs active collaboration inside organizations.
Applications that support our business process and manage data do not have in-built tools to support conversations among co-workers. Lack of tools on an application page, say a new HR policy page on the portal that may provide context for a conversation, forces us to switch to email. This results in loss of work continuity and even productivity. Though such conversations grow and become invaluable over time, emails get buried deep in the inbox and are De-linked from the context that started them.
Qontext (pronounced ‘context’) offers simple, yet powerful tool-set for communicating, sharing, and collaborating from inside common business applications. Qontext creates contextual conversations (hence the name) with colleagues, partners, and even invited guests from other organizations. These conversations can be effortlessly recalled at all contextually relevant places at any time.
CONTEXTUAL COLLABORATION
Qontext is built on the vision that “The social conversations would be the unifying strata of the future enterprise and every application should be connected to a common workplace social network to bring business-focused conversations into the mainstream.” Without contextual collaboration, most business-process conversations would remain outside the social network and continue to use other channels such as email or phones. Qontext is designed to bring these conversations streams (Application feed) into the main flow of conversations in your corporate social network, increasing its effectiveness as a collaboration platform.
APPLICATION INTEGRATION
Qontext integration into line of business applications, without the usual complexities of programmatic integration, is part of a planned architecture not an after thought. Tool design as widgets, feed syndication, visibility controls, perma-link for all conversations and many other elements of Qontext design enable easy integration and uniform user experience.
SIMPLER TOOLING
Qontext toolbox simple to use and social by design. Tool design is very unique; no drop-down menus of their own, open in a small square area on top of application you are using (like a You-tube widget).
VISIBILITY CONTROLS
Corporate conversations cannot be as open and democratic as on the web. Qontext provides well-designed visibility controls, without making it overly cumbersome (read/write/share permission for every item) for users. Qontext rides on security and permission mechanisms already deployed in the organization.
INCLUDE EVERYONE
At work we collaborate with everyone – team members, co-workers, clients, partners, suppliers. The use cases are varied and conversations are with individuals, standard groups, ad hoc grouping and may include guests from outside the company. Qontext empowers you to do so with information security and privacy option.
