Mazacoin

Mazacoin also known as MZC is a cryptocurrency like Bitcoin. This coin was developed by Payu Harris a native American activist and web developer.  Now it is “the official reserve currency of the Oglala Lakota Nation” of North and South Dakota, while Forbes and The Washington Post described it as the official currency of the “Lakota Nation”. Harris hopes that the currency will cause the international community to “realize we’re serious about our sovereignty”.

Bitcoin production is capped to a maximum of 21 million but Mazacoin production is unlimited making it an inflationary currency. Mazacoins can be mined by users and can be sold on international exchanges just like Bitcoin. In Early January 2015 Mazacoin got a new President and council sparking off renewed interest in the coin.
