Segment.io is a single integration tool that efficiently sends data to more than a hundred third-party tools via a single integration. It also has the ability to send analytics data from any platform including mobile to various services without the need to resubmit to app stores. It is capable of tracking any activity such as views, clicks, upgrades and purchases as well.

Unlike other similar tools that activates tools in a day or so, segment.io allows the activation of any tool within seconds. You don’t even have to worry about codes.

Business owners using this tool are assured of protection of their data. Segment.io stores data for its business clients allowing them to access, export or search for it any time they want. Additionally, they can download their data whenever they want in a clean and non-schematized format.

With this tool, developers can integrate APIs from various analytic providers into their applications.

Segment.io was launched in January 2013 by former MIT roommates Reinhardt, Ilya Volodarsky and Calvin French-Owen together with designer Ian Storm Taylor. Their goal was to provide a single API that works across all providers such as Google Analytics, comScore, Chartbeat, KISSmetrics, mixpanel, Uservoice and Foxmetrics among others.
