Shelfari is a social network platform for those people who love books. It actually cataloging the of their collection they have read. The is option for user to read book, rate and write review. This site arrange such way that it look like a library or Books kept in the self so that it name as Shelfari.
Shelfari was created in 2006 and after a years amazon.com invested 1 million dollars for organize it. User can create his own book shelf like already read,currently read,recently g on hand,planing to read etc. It provide some popup show the user some bookes cover with its author name, tag, review,etc.
Shelfari allow user to create or change the catalog of the system but in some case surely need the permission of shelfari Liberians. User can edit like wiki functionality as authors book publishing date,first sentence, tag etc . Similar to books, author pages may be edited or created. In addition to general catalog maintenance, users are encouraged to contribute reviews, descriptions, lists of characters and settings, author biographies, categories, and descriptive tags. Most of the book of shelfari comes from amazon.com market place, so here they set the back link to the main place, so this way user can buy books , also shelfari kept a option for user to discussion ,talk to each others.
