Spreecast is a free social video platform that lets users connect in a variety of ways. You can watch live conversations via the various media outlets, discuss current events, share interests and even meet celebrities and other popular personalities you look up to.

The platform can also be used to engage in private conversations with family, friends or business associates. This can be done through the private or unlisted features.

Spreecast can be embedded on blogs or Facebook pages. This is what bloggers, journalists and media outlets are actually using to discuss present and breaking events.

This same broadcasting tool is used by politicians, non-profit organizations and think tanks to discuss issues that matter to them. It allows them to share their views and opinions and gain an audience.

Another use of Spreecast is as an interactive educational tool. Teachers and educational institutions are using the platform for distance learning programs and to engage their students in an effort to improve their learning. It can also be used for study groups.

Founded in 2011 by Jeff Flur in San Francisco California, Spreecast offers video tutorials on the site as well as other helpful information on how to use the platform.
