StudioPress makes it easier to do web design projects for clients with its wide range of useful resources notably the professionally made premium WordPress themes. A common favorite is the industry standard Genesis framework.
Founded by Brian Gardner, StudioPress offers two choices – the Genesis Framework and the Child Themes. As of February 2013, there were more than 43 different child themes and many other community oriented products/services around the Genesis framework.
When using a theme framework such as Genesis, you install a theme by using the Child Theme functionality built into WordPress. This way you or your development team can make all sorts of changes to your specific theme install without overriding core framework files.
