StudiVZ, is a social network for Europe. It is the biggest social network for students mainly in Berlin, Germany. German expression of StudiVZ is Studentenverzeichnis, which means students’ directory.
This social media can be compare with Facebook. It is so popular that it has over 15 million members as of September 2009, mostly in the German-speaking countries of Germany, Switzerland, and Austria. However, traffic to the site has entered a state of steady decline since late 2009.
StudiVZ provides lot of feature for their user. It provide a profile for every individual user, here they can share there ideas and feelings , they can upload their photos and videos. They can message privately or groupwise. they can create group which can be private or public.
Criticism-
Some people criticize StudiVZ because its very similar to Facebook. It is so similar that it has a similar poke system. in 2007 there was an incident of account hacking , that lots of account was hacked by hacker and they theft many user private information. that was a very rude criticism for StudiVZ.
