Twitter Cards enhance your tweets and they come in various types. Each features your Twitter handle or content attribution which allows viewers to follow you and see your profile directly from the card.

The attribution is classified into the website attribution which shows your Twitter account name and the creator attribution which shows the name of the person who made the content in the card.

With these cards, users can further boost their tweets by including photos, videos and gifs.

The different types of Twitter cards are below.

  • Summary Card
  • Summary Card with a large image
  • Photo Card
  • Gallery Card
  • App Card
  • Player Card
  • Player Card approval guide
  • Product Card.

There are several ways to create Twitter Cards. WordPress, for example, has plugins to help you generate them for each post. Otherwise, you will need to know some basic HTML to be able to create your Twitter cards. Most of the cards have a sample of HTML that you edit for your particular content.
